Facebook Offers are a Great Tool to Engage Fans

Facebook offers the ability for all pages with 400 likes or more to run a Facebook Offer – offering your fans or customers a special offer only available to them through Facebook.  This is a great way to help drive more Likes to your pages and to reward and keep your fans engaged.

Facebook offers was originally being piloted to a handful of businesses; however it is now available to anyone with 400+ Likes.  Facebook is requiring that those that run offers spend at least $5 on related ads; however, there is no cost to those that redeem the offers.

The move to a required $5 spend for ads have a lot of people speculating that Facebook is looking to compete somewhat with Groupon and other daily deal sites.

A good offer will produce a great return on investment and help drive fan engagement and growth.   In a pilot study the Aria resort and casino in Las Vegas ran a special Facebook only promotion and 671 reservations were made for 1,585 room nights.
